A student of yoga since 2009, Katie began teaching in 2023 after her journey with sobriety unearthed a calling to share her experience, strength, and hope through the practice of yoga. She completed her 200-hour training and certification with Heidi Audet of Chill Yoga, and most recently completed a 30-hour Pranayama & Meditation teacher training with ShivaShakti School of Yoga. Katie’s current class offerings include Vinyasa, Yin, and Chair Yoga. Her long-standing mentorship with Heidi, along with her personal practice and study with teachers like Jason Crandell, Aiyana Athenian, and Murielle Corwin, influence her teaching style and growth. Katie’s flows draw creative inspiration from both the Ashtanga and Hatha traditions, as well as modern modalities and variations. Inclusive to all levels, her classes cultivate a mindful awareness of the body that will leave students feeling strong and at ease. Katie values a practice that leaves space and time for breath, reflection, and attention to alignment before closing with the relaxation of Savasana.
