All Levels Ashtanga

April 1, 2018

Teacher: Nerys/Diane

Level: I/II

Time: 9:15am – 10:15am

This class continues to build upon the basics covered in the Ashtanga Fundamentals I class. There will be a strong focus on linking breath to movement, and developing familiarity with the bandhas. All of which contribute to releasing old patterns held within the body. The sequencing will be based upon the Ashtanga Primary series, and it’s a great class for those with an existing practice who wish to delve deeper, or for anyone who wants to learn the Primary Series.

Restorative Yoga

April 1, 2018

Teacher: Paul

Level: I

Time: 8:00am – 9:00am

Join Paul for a morning Restorative Yoga Practice! In restorative yoga, props are used for support the body so that you can hold poses for longer, allowing you to open your body through passive stretching. The postures are usually adapted from reclined or seated yoga poses with the addition of blocks, bolsters, and blankets to eliminate any unneeded straining. Restorative classes are very relaxing and a good complement to more active yoga practices. Restorative yoga helps you to unwind and relax leaving you feeling open and refreshed, ready to take on the weekend!
